1985 DeTomaso Pantera GT5S

This is the first Pantera GT5S which Detomaso starting building around 1984. Charlie McCall in Spain owns this car now.

I ordered one of these in late 1984 for delivery in 1985, but it never showed up. I cancelled the order when I visited the factory and found out it would be delayed by several months.

The car was supposed to be a light metallic blue with a tan leather interior. The serial number was supposed to be 9390.

Years later, I actually did some work on 9390 and I got to know it extremely well. But the car was white. Based on a discussion with Kirk Evans, the blue GT5S was a later serial number, 9391. I don't know where 9391 is, but would really like to find out where it is and who owns it.

Greg Denton in California owned 9390 first and had lots of problems with it. He wrote a letter to Pantera International describing his nightmare several years ago. 9390 is now owned by a friend in Colorado.

I know, I know.... I should have waited...
