2024 Space City Panteras 14th Annual Pig Roast and Tech Session
It was a beautiful day!
A total of 11 Panteras showed up with some getting repairs and little fixes done.
Didn't count exactly, but I think more than 40 people attended, too!
Mike and Lori Drew made it and Mike was ambitious with helping owners address Pantera issues.
He helped with Gray's Alfa Romeo Montreal, too!
Will Kooiman flew in from Florida and returned with a 4V cast iron Cleveland head in his bag!
Brian Hill and Anna came, enjoyed all and brought some dessert!
Brian actually mentioned he might buy an old Italian sports car… but apparently changed his mind.
John Haas visited with his daughter, Mattie, and her boyfriend, Ethan. They apparently each got 'memorable' rides in a Pantera!
Bill Lewis was there without his Pantera. It's being worked on. Valve job, A/C repair and various other items getting fixed.
Fred Foreman added an emergency pull cable for his front hood.
Randy Pike made it with his car and his son, but he spent a lot of time helping others! Good man!
Rob Pink and Christine brought their car. Swapped out his rusty gear shift lever for a nice shiny one.
Santos said: "What a great time with the Pantera family and so happy to see so many Panteras show up. I especially want to thank Kirby, Mike, and Ed for giving me a working parking brake after 10 years of ownership. JT and others who helped straightened out the bottom of my rockers from a wrong jacking prior to my ownership. The food and the amazing amount of desserts were delicious as always. What a memorable great time and learning experience sums it up for me! Thank You! Thank you!
Orville Burg and his sister came and enjoyed the camaraderie. Ed Nagle brought his 'Red Cat 2'.
Steve Hawkins drove his car from the Austin area. Mike Drew brought new steering rack boots and they were swapped out, a loose wire to a radiator fan was repaired and, although his camber measurements were good, there was some serious toe out which explained why it was driving poorly.
Adjusted for some slight toe-in and apparently it drives very well now!
Dennis Coffman and his wife, Alicia, drove down from Nacogdoches! With the help of JT and Mike Drew, he was able to get his headlights to come up, and come on, and shine all the way to get back to Nacogdoches without any problems. Mark it all down to a broken limit switch….
Alicia's first visit to a tech session was apparently impressionable and she complemented the camaraderie!!
David Bell brought his car and helped work on Gray's car. No brake lights (new switch on the way) and possibly a broken wire harness…
More work to be done… Repair pending.
Thanks to the spouses and family members who participated and contributed to the menu.
A special thanks to Heidi, Gray and Dylan, who again created some terrific BBQ and showed everyone great hospitality at the Ranch.
